General
The cabinet can be used in outdoor applications where a low power cell is required.

Dimensions
The height of the cabinet will vary according to equipment racks required. The overall height of the cabinet is to be a maximum of six feet. Side panels are for hydro and A/C access with a separate door as shown. This area is approximately 9" deep. Overall width of the cabinet is to be less than 72". The cabinet is to be minimum of four feet deep with all doors closed. Internal clearance to a minimum of 30" is obtained.

Construction Material
The shelter is constructed of satin coat steel and aluminum. A steel bulkhead between the side access and main equipment area to provide RF shielding.

Access
Split front, rear and side doors for easy access. RF and hydro cables enter through the bottom or side of the cabinet. Doors are secured by customer supplied padlock.

Heating/Cooling/Ventilation
The cabinet is designed to operate in an external temperature range of -40C to +35C. Heating to maintain a minimum temperature of +5C inside the cabinet. Sufficient air conditioning is to keep the internal temperature below 40C with an internal heat dissipation of 2500W plus external solar loading assuming maximum heat absorption.

Interior
Two hydro duplex outlets, 15A 120 VAC, one front, one back and two internal lights, also front and back, on a manual switch.

Alarms
All alarms result in a contact closure on triggering.

Intrusion
Switches are located on each door to indicate their opening.

Temperature
Temperature alarms should the internal temperature drop below 0C or increase above 50C.

Smoke
Smoke detector without an audible alarm.

Water (Flooding)
Sensor to detect flooding in the base.

Battery Back-Up
The batteries are to be stored in a separate compartment internal to the cabinet but vented to the outside.

Distribution
A 100A circuit breaker is supplied at the input which disconnects the entire cabinet. Following this is distribution for the rectifiers, air conditioning, lights, and AC outlets "Square D" breakers are recommended.

Approvals
Ontario Hydro Special Inspection approved.

Appearance
The cabinet is capable of being painted any colour and still maintains the specified thermal operation.
